Abstract

Among other innovations this study presents for the first time, the combined housing and transportation cost burdens of working families in metropolitan areas at the neighborhood level. It also provides an overview of where working families live in each of the areas and how their location decisions affect their commute. Permission to publish given by Center for Neighbourhood Technology (CNT). Since 1978, CNT has been a leader in promoting urban sustainability, the more effective use of existing resources and community assets, to improve the health of natural systems and the wealth of people, today and in the future.
