Abstract
This paper discusses the study of facility design evaluation method to achieve traffic facilities most favorable to users when planning and designing traffic facilities under consideration of elderly and disabled people. This paper picks up sidewalk especially as facility, and focuses on (1) establishment of definite measure for decision makers to decide the priority of policy options, (2) setting of a comprehensive barrier-free indicator, and (3) utilization of the heart beat measurement method as an evaluation item.
