Abstract
Social exclusion of older people was studied and the results are report presented in this report. The study uses 2002-3 data from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA) with people aged 50 and over living in England participating in a large-scale survey. The broad aim of the study was to see whether this relatively new data source might provide insights about social exclusion and build upon existing knowledge about the experience of exclusion for older people. The main objective was to measure the patterns of social exclusion among older people. It examines the key risk factors, or indicators, of social exclusion among older people. [Country: UK]
