Abstract
The Commission for Integrated Transport appointed Mott MacDonald to undertake research on the role of taxis in rural public transport. The research seeks to establish whether there is a role for taxis, alongside other demand responsive and conventional public transport options, in providing cost-effective solutions to meeting the transport needs of communities in rural areas.
